Scenes from summer:
The Brooklyn bridge drive-by: never gets old.
Dirty kids with dirty feet on picnic blanket = they’re having fun.
Micheladas to close out the day! Tutti contenti!

Neural Milk Hotel @ Prospect Park, Brooklyn. A beautiful evening despite the threatening lightening & thunder off in the distance. Jeff Mangum beckoned lightning bugs and the lightning. We had to take a break in the middle of the set due to rain & severe thunder and lightning, but the reconvened and finished out with three more songs (we caught half of the last song).

Still thinking of the Cape…

July 20, 2014
The Provincetown house where I get to visit with friends and enjoy is serene and comfortable. Had an indulgent day of yoga, a long walk on the jetty to the beach to the tip of the cape, a boat ride, oysters and shrimp w/prosecco happy hour, fish tacos for dinner, entertained by Dina Martina, followed up with mint chip ice cream on a sugar cone. Epic day.

PTown cemetery. I walked through part of it while navigating back from a yoga class. The miss growing on the tombstone reminded me of ‘The Signature of All Things’ by Elizabeth Gilbert. I’m still reading it but Alma, the protagonist, is studying mosses - she finds microclimates and beauty in the different types. It was an off the beaten path glimpse.
